We run a family medical practice next to the Morningside Clinic in a Building called Rochester Place. Dr. Richard Eastman is our Resident Family Doctor. He obtained his Medical degree and Bachelor of Sciences degree from Pretoria University in 2006. He did his Internship and Community service at Tembisa hospital from 2007-2009. During his two-year Internship, he rotated through General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Family Medicine. During his Community Service year, he rotated through General Surgery, Trauma and Casualty and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Richard Eastman worked at a Private, busy Practice in Paulshof the whole of 2010 before being approached by Dr Jacobs to take over his Family Practice in Morningside. Richard was not looking to move at the time but took the opportunity to grow his own Family G.P Practice. Dr Eastman has grown the Practice from 2010 and continues to offer the highest level of care to all his patients. He has completed numerous courses which include ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), PALS (pediatric advanced life-support), ATLS (advanced trauma life support), Botox and Dermal filler course, Advanced Botox and Dermal filler course, CDE Advanced course in Diabetes Care for Health Professionals (with distinction). Dr Eastman is also a qualified Aviation Medical Examiner and performs Class 2 and Class 4 Medicals for Pilots and Aviation Personnel.

Richard enjoys all aspects of medicine but is very involved and passionate about Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Diabetes Management and Nonsurgical Aesthetics Procedures.

Richard is a Father, Husband, and Family Man and he is passionate about Medicine, has a holistic approach regarding treatment and is very thorough before diagnosing a patient. Patients will not feel like a number, will not be rushed during an appointment and will feel very at home in his calming and down to earth rooms.

Chrissie Kekana is our Systems Operator and Senior Receptionist and has been part of the practice for over 20 years and knows all the regular patients and makes everyone feel at home. Patricia Ann is in charge of all the admin related to the Diabetic patients on the CDE. She arranges doctors visits, laboratory testing and Dietician, Podiatry and Opthalmology visits. Patricia also assists Chrissie at the front desk.
